Michigan Golf Cart Laws (2026): Town Resolutions, 15 MPH, Daylight Only and LSVs

In Michigan, golf carts may use streets only where a village, city or township under 65,000 people allows them by resolution (raised from 30,000 in July 2026). Drivers must be 16 and licensed, carts are limited to 15 mph, streets posted 30 mph or less and daylight hours. Here are the rules, the equipment towns may require and how LSVs differ.
